Amerplast to open a second production site in Poland
(January 12th, Tampere, Finland) In preparation for continued business growth and to improve lead times and solidify its leadership position in the large bakery segment, Amerplast will open a new second production site in Poland. The new site will increase current converting capacity by over 25 % in 2018, adding important flexibility to the whole supply chain.
A second production site is necessitated by the company’s rapid business growth over the past years and a corresponding increase in orders and production volumes. Amerplast focus on building strong positions in the European bread and bakery segment through scale and innovations.
The new production site is located in Borki-Wyrki, 164 km east of Grodzisk, near Siedlce. With good logistical connections it will be a subsidiary site to the existing manufacturing site in Grodzisk. The brand new premises will be adapted to the company’s needs, with own bag converting, logistics and production management having highest safety and hygiene standards.
“A fast growing business with new innovative products, new customers and more orders sets high demands when it comes to lead times and customer service. These we must meet. With the new site we will increase our operational converting capacity by over 25 % in 2018 while having the space to add more capacity in line with future growth”, says Børge Kvamme, Amerplast CEO. “This enables us to ensure we have the necessary converting capacity to provide competitive lead times to each customer in every circumstance, as well as to strengthen our strong pan-European leadership position in the bread and bakery segment and the hygiene bags production.”
